Just a few photos from a Polar Training Course in December 2025 😀. This early in the season daylight hours were short and the skiing into a perfect setting sun was just part of the daily routine. We'll be running another December Polar Training next

We rarely use huts as most of our expeditions follow routes that are too remote to find them. On the rare occasion we do though, they're a wonderful contrast to cold tents and hard miles. Huts provide a welcome respite during longer, largely self sup

UIMLA is an international governing body which is representing International Mountain Leaders across the world. One of the most important targets for UIMLA is to represent the profession at the international level as well as setting equal standards of qualifications for all International Mountain Leaders (IMLs). UIMLA promotes the profession and supports the cooperation between IMLs from different countries.
