About Nordur - Remote, Bold and Cold expeditions
"Nordur" is Icelandic for "North." For us, it’s a mindset—a way of approaching the wild on its own terms. Our expeditions aren’t about comfort or quick fixes. They’re about the raw, genuine experience of being out there, where adventure is simple and real.
Our guides are a small, tight-knit team, shaped by years of expeditions in polar regions, high altitudes, and remote corners of the world. We’ve spent countless days in the toughest places, refining what we do and learning to rely on each other.
We specialise in complex journeys—moving through terrain only accessible by boat, skidoo, or pack raft. Skiing, climbing, trekking, pulling pulks, and travelling self-supported, it’s not about following us, but learning the skills that we’ve lived by for years. Our goal is to give you the independence to thrive in these environments.
Living the rhythm of expedition life—where every action is deliberate and efficiency in harsh conditions becomes second nature—that’s the core of what we do.
When you join one of our expeditions, you become part of this small family of adventurers, relying on each other and sharing a passion for what it means to thrive out there together.
At Nordur, we don’t do ordinary. We do the remote, bold, and cold.
What makes us Nordur?
